Deep in the darkness of Carlsbad Caverns, we waited nervously for the tour guide to light that one small, flickering candle that changed everything. The darkness was immediately pushed back by one tiny, dancing flame.
God’s invites us into His presence—whether in worship, a small group, or time serving the needs of others—so that He might send us with the glow of His Presence. Our God of unfailing love sends us out to “glow in the dark,” if you will.
Each day, we cross paths with family, friends, and neighbors doing their best to put on a good face and fight the good fight, when, in reality, they are struggling in personal darkness of hopelessness and helplessness. Our God of unfailing love sends us to be a small, flickering flame of hope in their dark world.
