Journey Group: Made in His Image
Thu. October 10th @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30pm on Thursday, repeating until December 12, 2019
Who am I? Why can’t I look like her? I wish I was thinner. I wish I was more toned, had abs, had bigger lips, smaller lips. The list of comparisons seems endless.
Have you struggled with these questions? What do you do?
This group, led by Kim Kilbourn and Chantel Morton, is geared towards young adult women, those who are bombarded incessantly with images and opinions of what they should look like, feel like, act like. The group will use Finding Freedom Workshop: A Study on Body Image and will learn how our relationship with our bodies relates to our identity in Christ and our relationship with Him.
The group will look to the only one qualified to define us, our Creator, to discover who we were made to be. Find freedom from our image hang-ups and claim our true identity as a daughter of the King.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. -1 Peter 2:9
