This month’s spotlight shines on Al & Stacy Anderson
serving with Young Life in the Czech Republic.

It was a wonderful blessing to have Al and Stacy nearby for a few weeks this summer. During their time here in the States, they kept quite busy! Stacy had the opportunity to visit her family and home church in California and to support her grandpa, who is ill. Al and Stacy both did an excellent job of representing missions to the campers each evening at the Lighthouse Family Camp. The Pearce congregation was blessed to hear the story of their ministry on June 25. The Lord enabled Al and Stacy to raise up an effective team to reach out to the teens of Ostrava and that was capable of leading the senior high camp while the Andersons were here in western New York. Upon returning to Czech the couple provided leadership for the young teen camp, with Stacy as the primary Bible teacher. In the fall of 2009, Al and Stacy hope to have several adults from the United States who would be willing to teach English in the public schools of the Czech Republic as well as assist in their ministry. They are also looking for a home for the student exchange program in the Churchville-Chili area.

Prayer Requests:

• Pray that the hearts of the teens in Ostrava would be open to hear the good news of God’s love.
• Pray that sufficient funds will be available to support the training program for additional Czech leaders. The American dollar has lost about 30 percent of its value in Eastern Europe.
