Moving to Port!
The time has come … Jack and I (Jeanne) are moving back to Port-au-Prince. We are excited that even though we will not be able to move back into our home there, we will be in part of the property … the FOHO (Friends of Haiti Organization) guest house.
This move will enable us to work in the Bible School when it reopens in the Fall. We are anxious to begin work with the pastors as well. This move will also give us an opportunity to work within the guest house to help improve the quality of service to work teams and guests who visit Haiti.

G-12
Using Adventure-Based therapeutic initiatives, I (Jack) have been working with 12 young people from the Dessalines FM Church over the last couple of months. It has been my privilege to help these students to expand their thinking and to seek to convey that the Leader of all time to be emulated is Jesus Christ. His ways are always best. His way of dealing with people works even as secular businesses are coming to understand. Thank you, Ludas, Hubermann, Jonel, Seronel, Jacques, Lourdine, Phagonise, Nelson, Schemelda, Bradley, Anazielle, and Sonee for all you have taught me in this first of many classes I plan to teach – si Dieu vle (If God wills).
A special thanks also to Hyronce and Pastor Robenson for help in translation. May God bless them all! I will miss them as we return to live in Port-au-Prince.

Fanya
Please continue to pray for this little girl. The pastor asked her “caregiver” about her and if we could take her to Port for school. The result? The next morning I was awakened by her screams. I ran to the window and Cheriselle had her down on the ground and was beating her with a stick. She had become angry with her for our request. Jack told Cheriselle to stop it, and she dropped the stick. That night, Fanya was singing at the top of her lungs. We are concerned, however, that when we leave, it will be worse for her. We discovered that Fanya is no relation to Cheriselle, and she had just taken her when she was a tiny tot. Fanya’s real mother is mentally challenged and could not care for her. The neighbors had been abusing Fanya. So, Cheriselle said, in her “mercy” (as she described it) she took her!
As you can see, following God’s command to work for justice is not as easy as one thinks. Now, we are praying for a miracle. Fanya needs a chance in life … here in Haiti! Please help us pray.

Institut Biblique Methodiste Libre
The Bible School will begin September 3. We are preparing for classes we will teach, as well as planning to paint and prepare the school for advancement. We are excited about the prospects of the graduating class next year. The young men we have heard are excellent preachers and anxious to share the gospel with everyone they meet! Please pray for them, Pastor Georges Valcourt the director, and us as we prepare for the new year.
We are also making curriculum changes and are hoping to update the school and resources for future classes. Pray for us as we meet together with the Board of the school in planning sessions. The income is less than previous years, and there will be a struggle financially. If you would like to help, go to www.freemethodistchurch.org and follow the links to missions and the extra-mile projects. There are a couple of different Bible School projects there. You may also send money specifically for the Bible School update as well. Please designate your contribution.
We appreciate your prayers and your financial gifts. Please continue both; by doing so, we partner together with others in bringing the Kingdom of God fully to Haiti.
For His kingdom to fully come to Haiti and the world,
Jack and Jeanne
